Privacy Policy
We collect as little as possible, we never sell it, and you can delete it with one email. Here is exactly how it works, in plain English.
01Who we are
FirstLeap Ltd is the data controller for this website. You can reach us at any time at afirstleap@gmail.com. FirstLeap is a business toolkit for young founders aged 10 to 24 in the United Kingdom.
02What we collect
When you join our waitlist we collect one thing only: your email address, along with the date and time you joined. We do not use cookies for tracking, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not collect names, ages, or payment details on this website.
03Why we collect it
We use your email address to tell you when FirstLeap launches, to send you early access and founding member information, and to share important product updates. Our legal basis under UK GDPR is your consent, which you give by entering your email address and joining the waitlist.
04Who processes it
Your email is stored securely in our database hosted on Emergent's cloud infrastructure. Emails are sent through Resend, our email delivery processor. Both act as data processors on our behalf and may only handle your data according to our instructions. We never sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone else.
05Cookies
This website does not set any cookies at all. No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no preference cookies, nothing stored in your browser. That is why you never see a cookie banner here: under the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent banners are only required for non-essential cookies, and we simply do not use any. If that ever changes, we will ask for your permission before any non-essential cookie is set, and we will update this policy first.
06How long we keep it
We keep your email address for as long as the waitlist is active. Once FirstLeap launches, we will give you the choice to create an account or be removed. You can ask us to delete your email at any point before or after that.
07Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us at any time to: show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email afirstleap@gmail.com and we will action your request within 30 days, free of charge. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
08Children and under-16s
FirstLeap is designed to be safe for users as young as 10. We deliberately collect the minimum data possible, and nothing on this waitlist requires a child to share personal details beyond an email address. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian before joining. Parents and guardians can contact us at afirstleap@gmail.com to review or delete a young person's data at any time.
09Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and, where the change is significant, email the waitlist before it takes effect. This policy was last updated in August 2026.
